MEET CHENKO

Born Jaden St. Patrick Reid, is a Reggae and Dancehall artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in Decatur but with roots in Kingston and St. Catherine, he grew up in a music-loving household as an only child to his parents, Nadine and Noel Reid. His stage name “Chenko” is inspired by his father’s nickname, “Shenks,” symbolizing a drive to connect with and help others.

Chenko’s passion for music has been evident since he was young. During the pandemic, he had the opportunity to record music in a studio, with guidance from Shaun Evering. This led to the releasof his debut single, “Nocturnal,” in January 2022. He soon gained recognition, performing at events like the Squash and Iwaata shows in Atlanta in October 2021, and making a TV appearance on “Take 5 with Rico Vibes” in November 2021.

In 2023, his single “Hustle,” produced by Troyboss Music, became a notable milestone in his career. His upcoming single, “High Right Now,” produced by Stubban Gad Musiz, is set for release in November 2024.
